Located on the main campus of the University of Miami in Coral Gables, the Lowe Art Museum is the oldest accredited visual arts institution in Miami-Dade County and the area’s premier collecting museum. Featuring 5,000 years of world art and a permanent collection of 17,500 plus objects, the Lowe’s holdings include Greco-Roman Antiquities; Renaissance and Baroque; 17th-21st century art of the Americas and Europe; Asian; African; pre-Columbian; and Native American art. The Lowe’s newest addition, the Myrna and Sheldon Palley Pavilion for Contemporary Glass and Studio Arts features a stunning $3.5 million glass collection with masterpieces by Dale Chihuly, Richard Jolley, William Carlson and others, as well as 3-D art by some of the most talented artists in contemporary art.

The Lowe Art Museum is free to museum Members, University of Miami students, faculty and staff with I.D., and children under age 12. Lowe lectures are free for members and UM Students with I.D. Opening receptions are free to members.
